Dr James Wilson

Dr James Wilson

On the weekend of October 16th & 17th this year, Dr James Wilson travelled from Arizona to present a seminar and workshop combination at The Royal Society of Medicine, London on “Recovering from Adverse Stress & Fatigue”.

The Autumn Seminar aimed to provide a vital update of information beyond Dr Wilson’s book ‘Adrenal Fatigue – The 21st Century Stress Syndrome’.

The adrenal glands rely on the availability of nutrients for optimal function. From macro-nutrients to micro-nutrients, herbal extracts and glandulars, Dr. Wilson teaches what is required to achieve a recovery of adrenal function.

However, chronic illnesses of all kinds are all mediated in part via the HPA axis. Possibly, there is no condition more influenced by the HPA than adrenal fatigue, and the Adrenal Recovery Programme also addresses this control centre (i.e. the HPA)

A cartoon of the HPA axis and principle tissues involved.

Dr. Wilson has been using his Adrenal Recovery Programme for many years, but he was not the first to identify the condition. Dr Wilson called on the wisdom of medical doctors of the 1920-40s who first organised the various manifestations of adrenal fatigue into a recognisable syndrome. Subsequently, he and practitioners trained in implementing this approach have witnessed the benefits in scores of patients. The tried and tested process by which Dr Wilson achieves the success he does, involves ADRENAL ASSESSMENT followed by RESTORATION of the HPA AXIS and ADRENAL FUNCTION.

Agenda

9.30 – 11.00 A detailed look at the biochemistry and physiology of stress and the HPA axis including a brief review of the signs and symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue. This presentation will also cover the newly discovered pregnenolone shift (pregnenelone steal)that occurs during stress.
11.30 – 1.00 Adrenal Fatigue and metabolic syndrome. What you need to know to understand and successfully treat both of these pervasive health conditions.
2.15- 3.30 The interrelationship between Adrenal fatigue, and GI distress including ulcers, malabsorption, food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn’s disease and more.
4.00 – 5.30 Adrenal Fatigue testing, comprehensive treatment protocols, case histories and Q&A for all the above conditions.

Here’s what practitioners who have implemented Dr Wilson’s Adrenal Recovery Programme have to say about it & the book “Adrenal Fatigue – 21st Century Stress Syndrome”:

“I now have the utmost confidence in the accurate assessment and the treatment of patients with exhaustion and adrenal fatigue, something which I meet in clinic every week. Dr. Wilson’s teachings have been invaluable to me as a clinician and to my patients too!”

Antony Haynes, Nutritional Therapist

“The information contained in the book combined with the Nutri-Link seminar from Dr Wilson in 2007 has helped to change my practice into a much busier and thriving place! Patients are referred from all over the country.”

M.S., Nutritional Therapist

About the book

“The questionnaire alone is worth the price of the book. Anybody under stress needs to read this awesome book. It will give your life back.”

Marie Wagner, Book Reviewer

“If every doctor would read this and apply the information in it, their approach to stress would change.”

Michael Stone DC.

“Thank you, Dr. Wilson, for bringing us this book, and letting us all know that adrenal fatigue is a very real and not-uncommon problem, but most importantly, that complete recovery is possible!”

Dr Jonathan Wright, MD.

Usefulness of the Seminar

What are the benefits to your patients?

  1. PRECISION
This approach offers a precise assessment of adrenal fatigue based on detailed case history assessment – the questionnaire – combined with lab testing.
  2. OBJECTIVITY
The patient and physician can monitor clinical progress with objective data.
  3. MEASUREMENT
This approach offers the ability to assess treatment efficacy.
  4. ACCURATE PHYSIOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS
This approach allows the clinician to subcategories subtypes of adrenal fatigue, enabling you to work with processes not labels.
  5. ASSESS CO-MORBIDITY RISKS
This approach allows one to assess whether the patient is vulnerable to inflammatory and autoimmune disorders as a result of their stress, or conversely, diabetes and perhaps osteoporosis, and take action to prevent it.
  6. ADHERENCE
Improved adherence in patients, as they can see the effect of stress and the benefits of the Adrenal Recovery Programme.
  7. TREATMENT PLANNING
This approach helps the clinician to use the most appropriate remedial nutritional therapy, in conjunction with lifestyle changes.

What are the benefits to you, the clinician?

  1. UNDERSTANDING
This approach allows the practitioner to have increased understanding of adrenal fatigue and how to assess this with patients, thereby giving you a new window into your patient’s health.
  2. EXPANDED TREATMENT OPTIONS
This approach opens up very effective nutritional and lifestyle treatment options as well as the ability to track progress via measurable changes in signs, symptoms and adrenal hormones.
  3. REFERRALS
Use of this cutting edge approach will help you achieve improved results as well as establishing you as more advanced, an overall approach that increases referrals.
  4. SATISFACTION
As a professional, you will have enhanced satisfaction as your ability to understand your patient’s physiology improves, as you have new effective treatment options, and can monitor your patient’s progress.

What you receive

As part of the registration fee, you will receive a full set of the presentation slides, be able to access them on-line, and be able to revisit the seminar on-line too.
